Johnson Controls EasyIO FG

Johnson Controls EasyIO FG firmware vulnerable to unauthorized access due to hard-coded credentials.

Summary

Two vulnerabilities, CVE-2026-27872 and CVE-2026-27873, have been identified in Johnson Controls EasyIO FG firmware versions up to 2.0b52. These flaws stem from the use of hard-coded credentials and improper privilege management, potentially allowing an attacker to gain full unauthorized access. Johnson Controls has stated that the EasyIO FG series is End-of-Life and End-of-Support, with no patches available, advising users to migrate to newer products and implement strict network segmentation and access controls.

Legal Notice and Terms of Use This product is provided subject to this Notification (https://www.cisa.gov/notification) and this Privacy & Use policy (https://www.cisa.gov/privacy-policy). Recommended Practices CISA recommends users take defensive measures to minimize the risk of exploitation of these vulnerabilities. Minimize network exposure for all control system devices and/or systems, ensuring they are not accessible from the internet. Locate control system networks and remote devices behind firewalls and isolating them from business networks. When remote access is required, use more secure methods, such as Virtual Private Networks (VPNs), recognizing VPNs may have vulnerabilities and should be updated to the most current version available.
